We all know that the famous Groundhog, Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow in Pennsylvania, but guess what - we don't have any Groundhogs in Dogwood Lakes and the weather here in southeastern North Carolina is fantastic - even in the dead of winter.

Even if the old tale of "seeing the shadow" exists, with an average temperature over 57 degrees in the Greater Wilmington area, we really don't mind our winters. The golf courses are all open and the surfers are still in the water!
Real estate in North Carolina continues to be very desirable. With two of our metropolitan areas ranked in the top ten for population growth, our area is poised for significant growth over the next 5 -10 years. We are not unaffected by the economic conditions in the United States today, but that only means that many opportunities exist in our area for buyers in position to capitalize on low interest rates, federal tax credits and the best buyer's market in the past 37 years.
We anticipate an active spring based on our wintertime conversations with buyers both in and out of our area. The Surf City, NC area located on beautiful Topsail Island, NC continues to grow. One only has to look at the commercial "drivers" to understand where the residential growth is headed. These large companies, such as Lowe's Home Improvement store and the Harris Teeter grocery chain as well as large movie theater complexes build their locations based on population and their convenience to that population (location). With all three of these components in place within miles of Dogwood Lakes, they know that this is an area that has historical growth, sustained current growth and great projected growth.

If you are considering a primary residence, a retirement home - either now or on your 5 year plan, or a second home located on the water, near the beach, then you must consider Dogwood Lakes!!
If you are planning a visit to the area, I encourage you to contact us and register to win a FREE Discovery Package for Wilmington.
We look forward to seeing you soon - it's always a great day on the lake!!
